The CTC is the country’s largest group of people on bikes . The organisation has in excess of 70,000 members and aims to make cycling enjoyable , safe and welcoming for all . CTC provides third party insurance to all members while cycling . The organisation campaigns on behalf of all cyclists at both local and national level . CTC Glasgow has recently reformed from the old CTC District Association . We have set up a series of monthly club runs open to members and non-members . Our aim is to build on these monthly runs to produce cycling activities for all current and future members . Any non-members wishing to come on a run should come along to the meeting point . CTC provides free third party insurance to non-members for the first few runs . The current runs are for all cyclists and include a break for refreshments . The pace is moderate with the aim to encourage as many people as possible to participate . Numbers of cyclists on the runs has ranged from 12 to 25 . The group also owns a hut at the foot of Ben Ledi at Stank Glen which can be rented by members . We are in the process of developing CTC Glasgow and would encourage all members to let us know how we should proceed .
